The Federal Government through the Ministry of Education has finally reached concord that all secondary school students who are at the proximity of writing final year examination should resume on Aug. 4, 2020.
This was contained in a statement made available to the Sniper news on Monday.
The Director, Press and Public Relations of the ministry, Ben Goong, said that the classes should resume after the Sallah break to equip them to prepare ahead of WAEC 2020 that is to take place on Aug. 17, 2020.
Added that another meeting will be convened tomorrow between the Federal Ministry of Education and Chief Executives of examination bodies in order to plan ahead the time of the examination.
“The meeting also resolved that a passionate appeal be made to the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and public-spirited Nigerians for assistance to schools across the country to enable them fast track the preparation for the safe reopening, as agreed,” he said.
