The President, Muhammadu Buhari was on Thursday evening seen wearing a Nose mask to Bamako, Mali, in an assignment with the ECOWAS special envoy to the country, Fmr. President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in finding a solution to the political crisis in Mali.

According to an earlier statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, said that Buhari’s planned visit followed the briefing by the ECOWAS Special Envoy to the country, former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Upon the fact that the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 had made the use of face mask compulsory while in public as one of the guidelines in curtailing the spread of the virus in the country, the President has never for once be seen with one.

However, on the arrival of the president in Bamako, Mali, his personal photographer, Bayo Omoboriowo snapped him with the white face mask as he debarks the Presidential jet. Omoboriowo captioned the photograph as “@Mbuhari arrives Bamako, Mali for the peace mission by the ECOWAS Head of states. 23rd July 2020.”
